The Darnell Financial Planning Team is dedicated to providing personalized service and objective financial planning advice in order to help our clients realize their financial goals.
The Darnell Financial Planning Team believes that financial security affords individuals and families important comforts. We also believe that financial security is the product of hard work, systematic investing, and careful financial planning.
Our role is to work closely with our clients to understand their current financial circumstances, to identify their short and long-term objectives, and then create a financial plan to help them achieve their goals.
Whether our clients seek to retire early, reduce their tax burden, save for a child’s education, or pass wealth onto their heirs, we provide them with advice tailored to each specific situation.
While working with our clients, we monitor the performance of their investments and from time to time we may recommend adjustments to their portfolio due to changes in investment objectives, tax laws, financial circumstances, or economic conditions.

Craig has been a part of the San Luis Obispo community since his family relocated from Los Angeles. He is a graduate of SLO High School, Cuesta College and Cal Poly, where he received his Business Administration degree in Global Strategy & Law with a minor in Economics. Craig holds his Series 7, 63, and California life and health insurance licenses. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. In addition to his work as a CFP®, Craig currently serves as treasurer of the Rotary Club of SLO Daybreak, is involved with the board for ALPHA, and has served on various committees for Family Care Network, Inc. He also enjoys classic cars, sports (especially golf and bowling), and traveling the world. |

Jessica is a graduate of Cuesta College and the University of California, Santa Barbara where she received two bachelor degrees, focusing on English and History. Jessica enjoys reading, is passionate about virtually all sports, loves playing with her dog, and enjoys spending time with friends and family. Jessica currently serves as a board member for United Cerebral Palsy of San Luis Obispo. She was raised in Alaska and loves everything about the Last Frontier.

Michelle is currently a third year student at Cal Poly studying Finance. Right now her primary focus is school, but in her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and working out. After graduation, she plans to move back to Southern California to work in corporate finance.

Jeff just finished his third year at Cal Poly studying Finance and Management Information Systems. Besides working towards his degree he loves being outdoors and staying active on the beautiful Central Coast. He also currently runs his own radio show on KCPR 91.3 FM, live from Cal Poly’s campus. After graduating next spring he plans on traveling the world before settling down.
